Cannelloni with broccoli/cauliflower

Based on a Jamie Oliver recipe: Filling is broccoli and cauliflower
boiled and then cooked down with garlic, chilli and anchovies (very
tasty and with that caramelised cauliflower taste!). Put pasta sauce
with red wine vinegar and salt into a baking dish. Then put in the
filled cannelloni. Top with mix of sour cream and grated Parmesan.
Finish off with more grated Parmesan. Bake for 30 mins at 190C.

Even though I don't usually like baked pasta, this was damn good!

looks great! - was the sour cream used as a 'mock' bechamel? did it taste sour-creamy?

glad you enjoyed your baked pasta experience!

The 'mock bechamel' was actually Jamie Oliver's idea. He said he knew how to make real bechamel (which I am sure he does), but this is a cheat's way. Tasted great, not at all sour-creamy. Of course you have add enough grated parmesan to make it real cheesy (and add pepper as well).

I love this cheat :)
